A Black Forest family business with tradition

The Rombach & Haas family has been manufacturing cuckoo clocks for over a century. Their business is situated in Schonach, in the middle of the Black Forest and is today led in the 4th generation by Ingolf Haas and his wife Conny Haas.

From traditional to modern

The traditional cuckoo clock is characterized by its mechanical movement and its special design. The unique mechanical movement assures the clocks running without batteries - just by its weights, mostly in shape of a pine cone.

Its design picks up typical elements from the black forest: the "Bahnhäusle" (railroad cottage) from which the cuckoo comes and calls, the inlays in the form of dense foliage and the weights in the form of pine cones.

While for most of the time, the family business focused on manufacturing cuckoo clocks in a traditional design, they have been expanding their range and now also create clocks with a modern, fresh and clean design.

The Rombach & Haas clocks and all dispose of the certificate of authenticity which is only given to traditional cuckoo clocks.
